NCKS project to showcase advanced manufacturing technologies for the defence and security industry at Future Forces 2026
14.10.2026
The TN02000018 National Centre of Competence ENGINEERING (NCKS) project will showcase selected applied R&D results and ongoing research topics at Future Forces 2026, focusing on advanced manufacturing technologies with potential applications in the defence and security industry. The exhibition is delivered by Czech Technical University in Prague as a project participant through its Faculty of Mechanical Engineering / RCMT. Under the title “Advanced Manufacturing Technologies for the Defence and Security Industry”, the exhibition will present NCKS results supporting rapid production ramp-up, precision, digitalisation, repair and modernisation of equipment. The topics include scalable manufacturing, virtual validation and digital twins, operational data and monitoring, machine-tool interoperability, and additive/hybrid manufacturing. The aim is technical dialogue with manufacturers, integrators and users, collection of application feedback, and transfer of NCKS results into industrial practice.
The project TN02000018 National Centre of Competence ENGINEERING is co-financed from the state budget by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the National Centres of Competence Programme.

The exhibition will focus on:
- Rapid production ramp-up and scaling of manufacturing capacity
- Precision, stability and virtual validation of manufacturing processes
- Operational data, monitoring and interoperability of manufacturing equipment
- Additive and hybrid manufacturing for spare parts, repair and functional integration
