These days we commemorate those who fought proudly for our homeland and freedom during both World Wars, as well as all the men and women who have served and are serving their homeland in foreign peacekeeping missions and operations.

History of Veterans Day ties to the end of the First World War (11 November 1918). These days we also commemorate all men and women who serve their homeland away from home in foreign peacekeeping missions and operations, as well as those who put their lives on duty.
